Responsibilities
- Implement hybrid retrieval mechanisms integrating BM25 and pgvector search strategies.
- Build grounding and citation modules with accurate claim-level attribution and regression testing.
- Instrument RAG pipelines and support preparation of golden datasets.
- Develop end-to-end integration tests and support CI/CD regression harnesses.
- Write modular Python code targeting sub-4.5-second P95 latency in an enterprise environment.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and client engineers through pair programming, backlog refinement, and sprint ceremonies.
- Deliver AI components securely as Python source code into the client’s Azure DevOps environment.
Requirements
- Proven practical ML engineering experience and a foundation in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- High proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, pgvector, vector databases, and hybrid search strategies.
- Experience building and deploying Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines and working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI GPT-4o models.
- Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Git, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests, including pytest.
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks such as RAGAS is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate proactively with client engineers in a fast-paced embedded agile environment.
