Responsibilities

  • Define executable BDD requirements using Cucumber and perform functional decomposition.
  • Develop SDKs and modular integration layers for Connected Vehicle Cloud, OnStar Data Services, and third-party APIs.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based backend business logic using Java, Kotlin, Spring frameworks, and relational databases.
  • Build enterprise fleet and commercial software using scalable, service-oriented architectures.
  • Manage software design, development, automated and manual testing, CI/CD deployment, and operational support.
  • Diagnose and resolve software anomalies across distributed backend platforms while optimizing reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Apply cloud-native architecture on Microsoft Azure using managed services, containerized workloads, event-driven asynchronous processing, and streaming technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Seven years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Junior Software Developer, Systems Analyst, or in a related occupation.
  • Seven years of experience with JVM languages, Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST APIs, React, modern JavaScript libraries, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
  • Seven years of experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud providers.
  • Experience with software architecture, design patterns, reliability, scaling, object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with NoSQL and relational databases and working in an agile development environment.
