Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident/root-cause analysis.
- Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, correctness, performance, and security of AI-assisted outputs.
- Use Software Development Life Cycle toolchain automation and approved AI-assisted development capabilities to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
- Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
- Promote responsible AI usage, secure handling of sensitive data, and compliant usage patterns across engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of applied software engineering experience, supported by formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Terraform, AWS ECS, AWS EKS, Docker, OpenAI, and Claude.
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with deep knowledge in one or more disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Current working experience with ChatGPT, LLMs, and Machine Learning I/O.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Experience in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
