Responsibilities
- Validate and assess software deliveries from the FinIQ vendor, including application changes, database scripts, configuration updates, and deployment requirements.
- Manage source code and release branching activities and coordinate deployments across development, SIT, UAT, and production environments.
- Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and support Microservices and Microfrontend applications on OpenShift and container-based environments.
- Support IIS-hosted applications and investigate application, infrastructure, integration, incident, and production issues.
- Review database changes, perform technical impact analysis, and participate in solution design and architecture discussions.
- Lead or contribute to defect triage, root-cause analysis, resolution tracking, release validation, and deployment readiness.
- Collaborate with vendor, application support, infrastructure, DevOps, QA, database, and business teams.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, deployment instructions, and operational procedures.
- Troubleshoot APIs, messaging, databases, scheduled jobs, and external integrations, including occasional out-of-hours release or support activities.
Requirements
- At least 10–12 years of overall software development experience.
- Strong enterprise application development and application support experience, including vendor-managed or third-party software products.
- Hands-on experience with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, service-oriented application development, and Microservices.
- Experience with AngularJS or ReactJS, Microfrontend architecture, frontend build and packaging, and deployment.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications on OpenShift and container-based environments.
- Experience with IIS configuration, hosting, troubleshooting, Bitbucket, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes.
- Experience with Liquibase and at least one relational database, specifically Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Understanding of Apache Kafka, Control-M or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools, application configuration, logging, monitoring, and environment management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, coordination, and ownership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Financial markets, trading, order management, trade lifecycle, FIX connectivity, FIX Protocol, equity derivatives, high-availability systems, distributed systems, event-driven systems, or vendor product release experience is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications in .NET, cloud-native technologies, DevOps, OpenShift, or databases are advantageous.
