Responsibilities
- Drive cross-functional Responsible AI initiatives from planning through delivery, including requirements, milestones, risks, stakeholder alignment, launch readiness, and adoption.
- Translate legal, policy, regulatory, standards, and risk-management requirements into workflows, controls, playbooks, technical requirements, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate the design, implementation, rollout, and improvement of Responsible AI workflows, orchestration processes, automated checkpoints, evidence capture, dashboards, forms, and developer interfaces.
- Contribute to the integration, testing, monitoring, maintenance, debugging, and scaling of Responsible AI tooling and platforms.
- Create playbooks, process documentation, training materials, intake guidance, and self-service resources to support partner-team adoption.
- Evaluate workflow orchestration, automation, reporting, and integration capabilities and identify opportunities to replace manual processes with standardized, system-driven controls.
- Represent the Responsible AI team in program, product, technical, and governance forums and communicate status, risks, and implementation expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative science, engineering, information systems, business administration, a related technical or operational field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years with an advanced degree in systems engineering, developer operations, product operations, technical program management, or a similar technical role.
- At least 3 years of experience leading or coordinating complex cross-functional technical initiatives from requirements through implementation.
- Experience translating business, legal, policy, risk, compliance, or governance requirements into operational processes, technical requirements, controls, or scalable workflows.
- Experience working with technical systems, tools, platforms, workflows, automation, or integrations alongside engineering, product, data, privacy, security, legal, or compliance teams.
- Familiarity with Responsible AI frameworks, policies, regulations, and standards such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework or EU AI Act is preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python or Java, and familiarity with workflow orchestration or automation platforms is preferred.
- Strong program management, communication, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, executive communication, and technical troubleshooting skills are required.

- Annualized base salary ranges from $142,500 to $253,100 USD depending on location, with the primary Pleasanton, California range listed as $168,700 to $253,100 USD; compensation figures are excluded from benefit classification.
- Potential eligibility for the Workday Bonus Plan or role-specific bonus and annual refresh stock grants.
