Responsibilities

  • Manage, improve, automate, and maintain platform tools and services across the organization.
  • Develop software and automation using Go, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and platform engineering technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex platform and infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and create implementation and remediation plans.
  • Plan and automate platform lifecycle activities, including Kubernetes, Istio, NGINX, and infrastructure upgrades across on-premises and GCP environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and application teams to resolve service requests and remove platform-related blockers.
  • Mentor team members, participate in technical discussions and code reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • At least 4 years of experience with Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • At least 4 years of software development experience with Go, Python, Java, Ruby, or another programming language, with Go preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience with automation technologies such as Shell/Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Python, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • At least 4 years of experience with infrastructure as code and cloud infrastructure automation using technologies such as Terraform.
  • At least 4 years of experience with cloud-native technologies and public cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, GitOps, automation, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Preferred qualifications include GKE/GCP, Kubernetes at scale, OpenStack, Rancher, AI/ML technologies, AI-assisted development tools, test automation, microservices, service-oriented architecture, Kubernetes networking, ingress/gateway technologies, and Istio.
