Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own full-stack product features from data models through interfaces used by attorneys and clients.
- Translate legal workflows and review playbooks into reliable production software with attorneys, domain experts, and AI engineers.
- Make architecture and tooling decisions that support rapid development and future needs.
- Write maintainable code, improve reliability, and own features in production.
- Help establish engineering standards, culture, and hiring practices as the team expands.
Requirements
- Three to four years of professional engineering experience, including building and shipping production software at an early-stage company or as a founder.
- Full-stack skills including TypeScript, React, a modern backend stack, and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience building with AI or large language models professionally or through personal projects.
- Experience owning features from conception through deployment and making sound engineering trade-offs for reliable systems.
- Completed computer science degree, strong product instincts, and ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with minimal process.
- Experience with legal technology, contract management, document processing, or direct collaboration with domain experts is helpful.
Benefits
- Base salary of $140,000 to $180,000 annually.
- On-site in San Francisco, California, six days per week.
- Relocation is not employer-funded.
