Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement and deploy applications that impact Amazon Air’s end-to-end operations.
- Collaborate with product managers, research scientists, Air Operations, and senior engineers.
- Manage and execute project plans and delivery commitments.
- Assist with hiring and development of technical talent.
- Create and execute quality plans, project plans, test strategies, and development processes.
- Use technical leadership and business judgment to make technology decisions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience using generative AI tools to improve workflow efficiency and willingness to learn prompting and evaluation practices.
- Preferred: ability to identify opportunities for generative AI to improve products, workflows, or customer experiences.
