Responsibilities
- Design and develop new APIs and backend microservices for a globally distributed messaging platform.
- Optimize platform performance, scalability, and reliability for high-throughput production workloads.
- Develop multi-threaded and asynchronous applications.
- Create unit tests and participate in integration test design.
- Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders on requirements and alignment.
- Contribute to the evolution of mission-critical distributed systems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Expert knowledge of .NET Core and C#.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and web services.
- Proficiency in multi-threaded application development and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with queue engines such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Working experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Hands-on experience using cloud platforms to build scalable and reliable applications.
- Written and verbal fluency in English.
- Preferred experience includes highly loaded distributed systems, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, or another service mesh.
- Preferred experience includes communications or messaging domains, AI tools and frameworks, and designing or building AI agents.
