Responsibilities
- Develop moderately complex, potentially companywide software engineering initiatives.
- Use AI agents to accelerate delivery of complex, large-scale business requirements.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document software projects and programs.
- Build and maintain Java and Spring applications using Kafka event-based and publish-subscribe patterns on Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Apply continuous integration and continuous deployment methods while maintaining stability, performance, and security.
- Resolve code and library vulnerabilities and support mitigation and escalation of technical risks.
- Maintain and troubleshoot routing applications and common infrastructure issues in multi-pod, multi-component environments.
- Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, external industry groups, and cross-team partners to resolve complex issues and deliver results.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 4 years of Java development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Kafka and publish-subscribe patterns and tools.
- Preferred: 5+ years delivering complex enterprise-wide information technology solutions.
- Preferred: 3+ years of cloud technology experience.
- Preferred: 1+ year delivering business solutions using AI agentic tools.
- Financial services or banking experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are preferred.
