Responsibilities
- Own and maintain production-grade Ansible roles, playbooks, dynamic inventory, and automation workflows for Cisco ISE.
- Automate Cisco ISE deployment, configuration, node bootstrap, persona assignment, certificates, pxGrid, logging, SNMP, backups, network devices, and shared secrets.
- Design and operate infrastructure automation pipelines with linting, validation, approval gates, automated application, and post-change verification.
- Build and maintain the automated onboarding validation suite, including health checks, replication status, smoke tests, and test authentication.
- Implement secure secrets management using AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, or ansible-vault.
- Integrate Terraform infrastructure outputs with Ansible inventory and configuration workflows.
- Collaborate with the AWS Cloud Architect on Terraform-apply and Ansible-idempotency validation before production promotion.
- Document automation and reduce manual effort in patching, upgrades, onboarding, and recurring operational tasks.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure automation, DevOps, or configuration management.
- Strong hands-on experience authoring production-grade Ansible roles and playbooks.
- Practical experience automating network or security appliances through REST APIs.
- Experience designing and operating pipelines for infrastructure or configuration changes.
- Working knowledge of AWS services and Terraform.
- Programming or scripting proficiency in Python or an equivalent language.
- Exposure to Cisco ISE, NAC, RADIUS, or 802.1X, or the ability and willingness to develop that expertise quickly.
- Experience with secrets management and secure automation practices.
- Strong documentation and collaboration skills across cloud, network, and security teams.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation or equivalent certification is advantageous.
- Preferred experience includes Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, OIDC federation, AWS EC2/IAM/Secrets Manager/SSM/S3, cross-account role assumption, Bash, JSON/YAML, pytest, ansible-lint, molecule, Cisco ISE ERS/OpenAPI, certificates and PKI, syslog, and SNMPv3.
