Responsibilities
- Design, architect, develop, operate, and troubleshoot secure, scalable, high-quality production software solutions.
- Drive adoption and validation standards for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, refactoring, and troubleshooting tools.
- Shape technical vision and execute roadmaps across process and decisioning, workflow and robotics automation, data transformation, and business intelligence capabilities.
- Build and improve automation-first CI/CD, environment management, release controls, and reusable platform engineering capabilities.
- Integrate LLM, retrieval-augmented generation, NLP, and other AI/ML capabilities into software systems with appropriate security and data controls.
- Design experiments, implement algorithms, evaluate results, and deliver observable AI/ML components and services.
- Improve reliability through instrumentation, alerting, incident response, automation, remediation, and root-cause elimination.
- Mentor and coach engineers and AI practitioners while promoting engineering ownership and excellence.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience spanning system design, application development, testing strategies, and production operations or stability.
- Advanced Java proficiency or strong Python proficiency, including software engineering best practices, design patterns, performance, and secure coding.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI assistant tools with appropriate validation and controls.
- Experience with platform engineering, developer experience, automation platforms, and shared services at scale.
- Experience implementing AI/ML-enabled applications at the code level, including LLMs, Generative AI, NLP, RAG, evaluation, and safe deployment practices.
- Understanding of responsible AI, sensitive-data handling, secure inputs and outputs, resiliency, privacy, and security expectations.
- Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines and SDLC automation.
- Cloud-native engineering experience, preferably AWS, including containerization, observability, and operational readiness.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers as a hands-on practitioner delivering production-grade solutions.
- Preferred experience integrating vendor platforms in large enterprises and supporting their architecture, controls, upgrades, operations, and extensibility.
- Preferred familiarity with agentic workflow concepts, LangChain- or LangGraph-style frameworks, orchestration, tool use, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Preferred knowledge of financial-services technology environments, operating models, controls, microservices, event-driven patterns, infrastructure as code, and resilience patterns.
