Responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated test suites for backend services, web UI, and APIs using TypeScript and Playwright.
- Lead end-to-end and browser-based frontend testing strategy with Playwright Test.
- Write and maintain API and integration tests for Next.js API routes, server components, and Vercel serverless deployments.
- Validate data integrity and edge-case behavior across MongoDB, training pipelines, and inference services.
- Own and improve test infrastructure, gating, reliability, parallelization, and signal-to-noise within GitHub Actions CI/CD.
- Establish testing patterns and best practices across a Turborepo monorepo with multiple applications.
- Mentor junior engineers on testing strategies, code review, and quality-focused development.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and identify issues early.
- Contribute to QA documentation, test plans, and release readiness checks.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in QA, test automation, or software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or both.
- Deep expertise with Playwright for browser automation and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with REST/JSON API testing, backend integration testing, and server component testing patterns.
- Experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Vercel serverless deployments, and GCP cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency with CI/CD systems, especially GitHub Actions, including test gating and pipeline optimization.
- Experience with monorepo environments and tools such as Turborepo and Bun.
- Familiarity with MongoDB and database testing strategies.
- Ability to establish testing standards, mentor team members, improve quality processes, solve problems, communicate clearly, and collaborate across teams.
