Responsibilities
- Create and maintain functional and non-functional test harnesses for matching engine technology.
- Process and categorize test output so business and technology teams can interrogate it daily.
- Integrate packet capture technologies to measure system latency accurately in production-like environments.
- Extend the testing framework to support changing engineering team requirements.
- Develop software using Java or C++ and Python.
- Analyze and report performance at the microsecond level under varying loads.
- Contribute to automation strategy and collaborate with engineering teams and organizational stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of software development experience in large-scale, multi-component systems.
- At least 3 years of programming experience in Python, Java, or C++.
- Understanding of microservice architecture and the Linux network stack.
- Knowledge of packet capture, PCAPs, and messaging platforms.
- Proficiency with Java or C++, particularly testing frameworks such as GoogleTest, Boost.Test, JUnit, or fuzz testing.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and automation strategy.
- Experience with SDLC documentation and software delivery principles.
- Strong analytical, presentation, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent spoken and listening English, with the ability to work independently and under changing priorities.
- Ability to provide leadership, motivate teams, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
