Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and validate RTOS-based display drivers for Snapdragon Wearable platforms.
- Implement display software features and test-driven enhancements in a fast-paced development environment.
- Apply expertise in frame composition and transfer, framebuffers, color formats, font rendering, GPU concepts, and display technology.
- Develop and debug embedded software involving SoCs, peripherals, protocols, and on-chip application environments.
- Use FPGA emulation setups, debugging tools, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG interfaces to troubleshoot system issues.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers on system-level software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 3+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 2+ years or a PhD plus 1+ year.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 9+ years of software development experience in C/C++ is preferred.
- Expertise in display technology, including frame composition and transfer, framebuffers, color formats, font rendering, and GPU concepts.
- Strong understanding of ARM architecture, especially Cortex-M series, and desired knowledge of RISC-V architecture.
- Extensive experience with on-chip application development, SoCs, peripherals, chip development lifecycles, and embedded environments.
- Knowledge of RTOS-based environments; FreeRTOS and Zephyr experience is highly desired.
- Familiarity with I2C, QSPI, DSI, and SPI protocols, FPGA-based emulation, and tools such as Lauterbach and J-Link.
- Experience with vector graphics, Skia, PELEC, LVGL, MicroEJ, Qualcomm Q6 or Hexagon software, multimedia, display, or graphics is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
