Bosch GlobalResponsibilities
- Analyze functional requirements and technical design packages to define integration-test scope and strategy.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated Embedded C++ integration test cases for ctrlX PLC I/O modules and accessories.
- Validate hardware-software integration and industrial communication protocols, including EtherCAT CoE, EoE, CAN, M-Bus, and RS232/RS485.
- Perform integration and system-level testing on remote hardware test setups in Germany.
- Debug and troubleshoot integration issues on target hardware with firmware, hardware, and Germany-based engineering teams.
- Develop reusable C++ test frameworks, utilities, and automation to improve test efficiency and coverage.
- Maintain test documentation, defect reports, and requirement traceability while following quality and release processes.
- Mentor junior engineers, participate in technical reviews, and drive improvements in integration-testing practices.
Requirements
- Strong programming experience in Embedded C++ and PLC I/O modules and accessories.
- Hands-on C++17 framework and test-case development experience.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Experience with Linux-based embedded systems or embedded runtime environments.
- Knowledge of industrial communication technologies including EtherCAT, CoE, EoE, M-Bus, CAN, and RS232/RS485.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting software on target hardware.
- Knowledge of real-time constraints in embedded systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with cross-compilation, build systems, and deployment on embedded targets is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of multithreading and memory optimization in Embedded C++ is preferred.
- Exposure to requirement analysis, design documentation, customer interaction, software lifecycle, unit testing, and integration testing is preferred.
- Experience with Git is preferred.
- BE/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
- 5–10 years of professional experience.
