Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based test automation frameworks.
- Build web application automation with Playwright and Python using reusable architecture and design patterns.
- Create automated UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests, including REST API validation and integration workflows.
- Develop reusable automation libraries, utilities, fixtures, test-data components, and framework capabilities.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and analyze execution results, flaky tests, and root causes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation architecture, technical standards, engineering practices, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and develop AI-assisted and agentic workflows, prompts, agents, and utilities for quality engineering.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, quality engineers, DevOps engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other automation engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5–12 years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, software development, or related engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on Python programming experience for clean, modular, reusable, production-quality automation code.
- Strong Playwright experience with Python or significant modern browser automation experience and the ability to work extensively with Playwright.
- Experience designing, developing, or significantly enhancing test automation frameworks and reusable components.
- Experience with Python testing frameworks such as pytest or equivalent.
- Experience automating REST APIs and integration workflows.
- Knowledge of browser automation concepts including DOM, XPath/CSS selectors, browser contexts, network interactions, asynchronous behavior, and cross-browser testing.
- Experience integrating automation suites with Jenkins or equivalent CI/CD platforms.
- Experience with Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or OpenAI Codex, agentic AI workflows, and generative AI/LLM applications in testing.
- Preferred experience with Allure, Playwright reporting, dashboards, BDD frameworks, performance or accessibility automation, mentoring, technical reviews, and automation strategy.
