Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and deliver advanced Android mobile solutions with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Lead technical direction for multi-service and cross-domain mobile initiatives and establish architectural decisions and coding standards.
- Develop system designs, low-level designs, APIs, and data models for integrations with internal and external services.
- Mentor and guide mobile engineers across teams while promoting technical excellence, code quality, and knowledge sharing.
- Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve mobile user experiences and business outcomes.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to deliver mobile features and shape technical strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven expertise designing and delivering complex Android mobile applications at scale, including system and API design.
- Extensive experience leading architecture and technical direction for multi-service, cross-domain, or organizational mobile initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, workflows, and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
- Advanced proficiency with Jetpack components, Jetpack Compose, Android UI/UX best practices, and performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and MVP.
- Experience with search or discovery in consumer mobile applications, preferably in the search or travel domain.
- Experience establishing technical strategy, best practices, and operational excellence for organizational mobile platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of integrating AI/ML capabilities into mobile products.
- Experience collaborating within large, globally dispersed development teams and contributing to cross-platform or multi-domain engineering initiatives.
