Base Salary
$165k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production ML platform components for real-time bot detection.
- Own model training, evaluation, serving, and monitoring across the full lifecycle.
- Partner with Applied Scientists to operationalize research models in reliable, low-latency production systems.
- Diagnose operational issues and implement permanent fixes to improve reliability, latency, and detection quality.
- Write maintainable software, participate in code reviews, coach teammates, and document designs.
- Collaborate across Traffic Engineering on scalable, performant, and secure technical solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: knowledge of machine learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training and inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.
- Preferred: knowledge of JAX, PyTorch, vLLM, SGLang, Dynamo, TorchXLA, and TensorRT.
