Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to map data and tool usage requirements.
- Analyze engineering and operational processes and systems to support development of the digital ecosystem.
- Support technology assessments and recommendations for digitizing core business and engineering functions.
- Develop a Digital Ecosystem Architecture roadmap and implementation plan aligned with business objectives.
- Implement digital ecosystem recommendations and tool integrations.
- Build custom APIs or implement enterprise APIs for software integration.
- Build and maintain data models and metadata standards for data integration and analysis.
- Develop data visualization, analytics, and reporting tools.
Requirements
- For the Engineer T2 level, a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, data science, or a similar STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience, or a relevant master’s degree with 0 years of relevant work experience.
- For the Principal Engineer T3 level, a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a relevant master’s degree with 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with data architecture, data models, physical database designs, and enterprise data integration strategy across multiple platforms.
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI, as well as SQL.
- Experience with Python, Java, or C# programming.
- Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, or SOAP APIs and JSON/XML data formats.
- Familiarity with PLM tools and integrations such as Teamcenter, ENOVIA, and Windchill.
- Familiarity with configuration management and change management processes and tools.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include digital thread implementation, enterprise data modeling, data platform engineering, secure APIs, Azure integration platforms, PLM, SysML, MBSE tools, ERP/SAP integration, and work across classified or disconnected environments.
