Software Engineer, Command Control Mission Autonomy

Responsibilities
- Build core command-and-control software for the Lattice mission autonomy platform.
- Develop vehicle software for real-time telemetry, health management, and autopilot tasks.
- Build Ground Control Station capabilities for mission planning, map visualization, fleet management, and autonomous behavior orchestration.
- Integrate software with physical hardware deployed in the field.
- Help pioneer GenAI agent integration that enables operators to direct autonomous assets through natural-language interfaces.
- Collaborate with Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering teams.
Requirements
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or physics.
- At least 3 years of backend development experience using Python, C++, Rust, Go, or Java.
- Experience building software involving significant data processing and analysis.
- Ability to understand and navigate complex systems while delivering and iterating quickly.
- Collaborative approach to solving ambiguous problems.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, or SaaS.
- Preferred experience with multi-agent autonomous systems or defense technology.
- Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics is preferred.
- Preferred background in physics, mathematics, or motion planning for modeling, simulation, and physical systems.
