Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve issues across multiple components of critical business systems.
- Define and drive the overall test strategy for data pipelines on Google BigQuery and Cloud Composer.
- Build and maintain test automation for data validation, pipelines, and integrations.
- Lead and mentor an offshore QA/SDET team.
- Contribute to BigQuery SQL, Composer DAGs, and data-pipeline enhancements as capacity allows.
- Monitor system performance, diagnose problems, and collaborate with teams to maintain application stability.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience is required.
- At least 6 years of experience with Google BigQuery is stated in the additional criteria.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Python, and Cloud Composer or Airflow.
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks such as PyTest.
- Understanding of data-pipeline and ETL testing, SQL validation and debugging, data warehouse concepts, and cloud ETL and workflow orchestration.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance fundamentals, including policies, claims, and underwriting.
- Experience working with or leading offshore teams.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Experience with CI/CD, data quality tools, or broader GCP components is preferred.
