Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Translate customer and business needs into software requirements, architectures, solution blueprints, interface definitions, and non-functional requirements.
- Guide software and system-level decisions across applications, APIs, data, security, observability, resilience, and operational supportability.
- Coordinate with R&D architects and delivery teams to ensure customer requirements are implementable, supportable, and aligned with roadmap priorities.
- Partner with security, risk, and compliance stakeholders on identity, privacy, fraud prevention, auditability, and regulatory controls.
- Support solution shaping, effort estimation, technical risk assessment, and value argumentation for customer and business opportunities.
- Contribute to architecture governance, technical standards, reusable assets, and continuous improvement across the architecture community.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Software Architect or in software, solution, or platform architecture for complex distributed systems.
- Strong software development background with practical coding experience and knowledge of modern development practices.
- Proven ability to design secure, scalable, API-driven platforms, integrations, and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud-native design, data models, and systems integration patterns.
- Experience working with customers and stakeholders across product, R&D, operations, commercial, and delivery teams.
- Ability to simplify complex technical topics, translate needs into requirements, and influence customer- and engineering-level decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes financial services, digital wallets, payments, banking, ledgering, KYC, AML, fraud, compliance platforms, financial inclusion services, public cloud, SaaS delivery, multi-country deployments, and regulated production environments.
