Responsibilities
- Drive complex, cross-functional technical projects from design through deployment.
- Finalize and scale the payment orchestrator and integrate payment methods across countries.
- Propose platform improvements, automate tasks, and improve observability through SLO reviews, monitoring, and alerting ownership.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Fraud, Payment Operations, SREs, frontend engineers, and product stakeholders.
- Mentor mid-level developers and raise engineering standards within the squad.
- Participate in a mandatory cyclic on-call rotation of approximately one week every seven weeks.
Requirements
- Have 5 to 10 years of overall engineering experience.
- Demonstrate technical autonomy, critical thinking, and strong understanding of software architecture and constraints.
- Have fluent Java skills and advanced knowledge of Spring or SpringBoot.
- Have hands-on experience with service-oriented architectures, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Datadog.
- Communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders.
- Be willing to participate in mandatory on-call duties.
- Have full working proficiency in English and alignment with BlaBlaCar’s principles.
