Responsibilities
- Analyze Android applications and intermediate-complexity workflows using static and dynamic analysis techniques.
- De-obfuscate applications using techniques such as control-flow flattening and string encryption.
- Analyze native code interfaces, including JNI.
- Use and automate Ghidra, IDA Pro, Frida hooks, and Burp Suite to improve analysis efficiency.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and collaborate with security and development teams.
- Propose minor improvements to existing analysis methodologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Android application reverse engineering, Android development using the Android SDK, or penetration testing/offensive security.
- Solid understanding of Android security internals.
- Background in Android application development with Java or Kotlin, security analysis and vulnerability assessment, or software reverse engineering.
- Experience with static and dynamic analysis techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High proficiency with a broad range of analysis tools.
- Familiarity with apktool, Ghidra or IDA Pro, and hexdump is preferred.
- Experience with ARM assembly and mobile malware analysis techniques is preferred.
- Understanding of Android application obfuscation and anti-tampering techniques is preferred.
