Responsibilities

Develop full-stack applications as part of a unified platform and user experience.
Create, maintain, and support a near-real-time reporting and visualization platform from the API layer outward.
Develop frameworks, environments, build systems, tooling, and platform-level support for visualization and reporting tools.
Unify disparate business tools into a consistent application and user experience.
Define and contribute to project and platform architecture and its adoption.
Write concise, optimized, well-tested code and review teammates’ code and pull requests.
Participate in planning discussions, team interactions, feature proposals, and broader platform discussions.
Support associated tooling through an on-call rotation and deliver functional, supportable products.
Work with design and test teammates to deliver high-quality, testable features.
Create documentation for platforms, functionality, and processes.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related field.
At least 5 years of progressive experience in a software development occupation, including automated testing of front-end and backend services.
At least 5 years of full-stack application development experience.
Proficiency in Node.js and React with JavaScript and TypeScript.
At least 5 years of experience delivering software with high test coverage using unit and front-end test frameworks.
At least 3 years of experience building cross-functional, broadly scoped platforms.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code systems such as Terraform, Kubernetes, or CloudFormation.
Experience working in CI/CD/CT environments and tuning performance for large-data-set front-end visualizations.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with organization, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver tasks on time.
Preferred experience with large-scale data libraries such as Druid, shared React component libraries, cloud platforms such as AWS, Kafka, Amazon SQS, Kinesis, Docker, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, continuous integration and delivery systems, web accessibility, documentation, Agile methodologies, and test mocking mechanisms.
