Responsibilities
- Identify, scope, and lead large technical projects spanning multiple teams and functions.
- Design, develop, and own product functionality and infrastructure using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Establish scalable, performant, reliable, and customizable systems and make tradeoffs across business priorities, user experience, and technical sustainability.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding engineering teammates in the United Kingdom and/or Ireland.
- Mentor junior engineers and set a high standard for collaborative engineering culture and technical excellence.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of industry experience as a software engineer.
- Experience serving as technical lead for large projects lasting six months or longer, including roadmap definition for complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience building successful SaaS products for startup and enterprise users.
- Previous startup experience or experience in an environment prioritizing bias for action.
- Experience mentoring and leading engineering teams by example.
- Experience working at rapidly scaling startups and large companies.
- Curiosity and sound judgment in using AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
