Base Salary
$213k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop models to extend voice support to languages other than English.
- Design and implement language support for new Roku features and functionality.
- Collect and analyze spoken and written language data to improve models.
- Maintain existing systems, recognizing issues and applying the right tools to debug and solve problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Linguistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in a related position.
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent plus 3 years of experience is also acceptable.
- At least 2 years of experience in spoken natural language applications.
- Strong knowledge of core linguistics including semantics, syntax, morphology, phonology, and discourse.
- Experience with rule-based grammars and machine learning for NLP.
- Proficient in cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large natural language data sets.
- Familiarity with scripting programming languages and version control.
