Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities and translate business goals into technical success criteria and evaluation plans
- Design, scope, and execute POCs with defined datasets, metrics, and timelines
- Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs
- Advise customers on cloud, self-hosted, and hybrid architecture, including accuracy, latency, scalability, cost, and data residency
- Handle APAC security and compliance requirements involving Singapore PDPA, Japan APPI, Korea PIPA, Australia’s Privacy Act, and India’s DPDP Act
- Triage and debug evaluation issues and coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Support
- Create reusable samples, reference architectures, runbooks, and field guides
- Partner with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Solutions Architects, Support, and partners on technical positioning and validation
- Own strategic evaluations, customer architecture workshops, technical deal reviews, live demos, and expansion opportunities
- Convert recurring ticket patterns and customer requests into reusable technical assets
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role focused on pre-sales
- Professional software engineering experience in at least one of JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Rust
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design
- Proven experience leading enterprise customer POCs and achieving technical wins
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical and executive audiences
- Experience with speech recognition, text-to-speech, voice quality analysis, or AI agents orchestrating large language models is preferred
- Familiarity with telephony and real-time media concepts including SIP, WebRTC, streaming, and WebSocket integrations is preferred
- Experience with self-hosted and hybrid deployments, Helm-based installations, and production observability is preferred
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and APAC enterprise data residency requirements is preferred
- Fluency in an additional Asian language such as Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or Hindi is preferred
- Applicants should be based in an APAC time zone, communicate fluently in English, and be able to travel within the region for key customer milestones
