Responsibilities
- Assist with customer proof-of-concept studies.
- Deploy and configure Starburst products for validation testing and technical evaluations.
- Consult on architecture, deployment, and design discussions.
- Guide customers migrating from legacy platforms and moving deployments toward production.
- Troubleshoot deployments with field sales and technical presales representatives.
- Consult with professional services on post-sales deployments and onboarding.
- Provide product feedback to internal product engineering discussions.
- Design and execute strategic team projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams on critical customer operational issues and questions.
- Develop field best practices, how-to documents, and internal knowledge-base content.
Requirements
- Expertise or experience with analytical problem-solving, ANSI SQL, UNIX/Linux CLI interactions, data warehouse concepts, private or public cloud deployments, and big data technologies such as Hadoop, distributed systems, and storage.
- Expertise with Kubernetes platforms including EKS, AKS, GKE, and OpenShift.
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles.
- Prior experience with Trino or Presto is desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to respond dynamically to real-time questions.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment with cutting-edge technologies.
