Responsibilities
- Translate user stories into maintainable Java and Spring Boot code.
- Build microservices with validation, logging, exception handling, and performance hygiene.
- Participate in design discussions, propose technical solutions, and evaluate trade-offs.
- Assist with database modeling, SQL queries, tables, functions, and stored procedures.
- Write unit tests and participate in peer code reviews.
- Support UAT by clarifying requirements, reproducing issues, and validating fixes.
- Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, and dashboards.
- Maintain Jira stories, documentation, and API specifications.
- Use GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools for coding, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and functional teams.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservice fundamentals.
- Experience with AWS services including API Gateway, ECS/EKS, Lambda, or CloudWatch.
- Understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with JUnit, Mockito, and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI development tools.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Drools or Blaze, Docker or Kubernetes, Splunk, ArgoCD, Postman, and SonarQube.
- Experience with Angular preferred, or React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
- Strong communication, collaboration, reliability, and learning mindset.
