Base Salary
$176k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical and product direction for a core area of Customer Agent from architecture through production.
- Build and solve complex problems involving orchestration, evaluation, guardrails, memory and context, and non-deterministic failure handling.
- Write and ship code, review designs, make technical decisions, and debug production issues.
- Define reusable patterns, mentor engineers through design reviews, and unblock other teams’ projects.
- Partner with product, design, data science, and go-to-market leaders to shape the product.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and bring appropriate technologies into production.
Requirements
- Experience building, scaling, and supporting production agentic systems with orchestration, evaluations, guardrails, and non-deterministic failure handling.
- Experience securing production agents against misuse and abuse and maintaining their reliability as usage grows.
- Experience owning technical and product direction for a significant area and delivering systems adopted by other engineers.
- Strong hands-on coding, architecture review, production debugging, and technical decision-making experience.
- Experience creating reusable engineering patterns and influencing or unblocking other engineers’ work.
- Ability to communicate complex technical trade-offs and turn ambiguous problems into actionable plans.
- Preferred experience with multi-tenant agent platforms, 0-to-1 products or startup environments, production evaluation systems, AI observability, or human-in-the-loop workflows for LLM-powered products.
