Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and use automated tests across the testing pyramid for features and releases.
- Develop and improve test automation tools, frameworks, and coverage in collaboration with product engineering teams.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with CI/CD teams.
- Troubleshoot test and production issues, isolate defects, and verify bug fixes.
- Participate in design reviews and guide code toward greater modularity, testability, fault tolerance, and quality.
- Collaborate with product management, development, and other Quality Engineering teams in a fast-paced release environment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience in software engineering and testing.
- Knowledge of at least one web development language such as TypeScript or JavaScript and comfort with a backend language such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
- Strong knowledge of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with web automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Buildkite, Spinnaker, or Jenkins, and with Git.
- Familiarity with quality signals including test coverage, flaky test rate, and suite execution time.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, collaboration, and ambiguity-management skills.
- Curiosity about applying AI and LLMs to testing and developer productivity.
