Responsibilities

Lead architecture, technical design, and execution strategy for cross-functional engineering initiatives.
Define scalable system designs and establish engineering best practices.
Partner with Product and Research teams to deliver production-ready features.
Create technical specifications, implementation plans, and delivery milestones for complex initiatives.
Mentor engineers and researchers through architecture reviews, code reviews, documentation, and pair programming.
Improve platform and service reliability, scalability, observability, and performance.
Contribute hands-on code to critical parts of the codebase.
Drive improvements in developer experience, infrastructure, and deployment workflows.
Foster an engineering culture focused on quality, ownership, and collaboration.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of experience building and scaling complex software systems.
Strong experience designing distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
Fluency in Python, TypeScript, and SQL.
Experience designing and implementing gRPC and Protobuf-based APIs.
Experience with cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, performance optimization, and scalable system design.
Familiarity with machine learning, including LLMs.
Experience building frontends with React.js.
Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Pulumi is a bonus.
Experience with CAD software, computer graphics, simulation, physics-based systems, domain-specific languages, production machine learning systems, or Kubernetes-based production environments is a bonus.
