Responsibilities
- Own complex technical initiatives end-to-end from design through production deployment and operational excellence.
- Set the architectural direction for highly available, resilient, and scalable backend distribution APIs and services.
- Design and develop large-scale backend systems using Golang.
- Partner with product, engineering, and infrastructure stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Prioritize technical initiatives, manage risks, and deliver high-impact outcomes.
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, alerting, on-call processes, and incident response.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Mentor and coach engineers while fostering ownership and continuous improvement.
- Influence AI development best practices and improve team productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience building and operating highly available, distributed backend systems in production.
- Strong experience designing and developing large-scale backend services with Golang.
- Experience deploying and scaling services in cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control systems such as Git, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Experience with observability tools for metrics, logging, and monitoring such as Datadog or Grafana.
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical explanation skills.
- A master’s degree or higher is preferred.
