Base Salary

$75k - $110k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and services.
  • Translate business and product requirements into reliable, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Build backend services and APIs using Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, and OpenJDK.
  • Develop and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and application data flows.
  • Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Collaborate with engineering, DevSecOps, infrastructure, product, and delivery teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, cloud adoption, and application modernization.
  • Apply secure coding practices and support application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Document technical solutions and development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, and OpenJDK.
  • Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Understanding of software development principles, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with version control, testing, debugging, code reviews, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, secure coding, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Preferred experience includes Angular, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless or cloud-native development, event-driven architecture, Zero Trust, IAM integrations, and federal government agency support.
