Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Partner with CISOs, cloud architects, and platform engineering leaders to develop scalable architectural blueprints.
- Guide enterprise customers from BIG-IP foundations toward modern hybrid, distributed cloud, and containerized architectures.
- Lead technical discovery, design validation, demonstrations, and evaluations for WAAP, bot defense, DDoS mitigation, and Zero Trust solutions.
- Advise customers on traffic management, Kubernetes ingress, AI inference pipelines, and AI Gateway architectures.
- Demonstrate Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD workflows using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Identify customer priorities, communicate F5’s value in competitive evaluations, and support allocated sales targets.
- Share customer insights with F5 Product and Engineering teams to inform cloud and security roadmaps.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, systems engineering, technical consulting, or equivalent customer-aligned solutions architecture.
- Proven experience supporting large enterprise accounts, especially in highly regulated or high-compliance industries.
- Experience with edge cloud and WAAP platforms, API gateways, or hyperscaler cloud networking.
- Understanding of web application security, API protection, automated threat mitigation, and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, ingress controllers, API gateways, or service mesh technologies such as NGINX.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and hybrid connectivity patterns.
- Experience with Python, Go, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, or comparable automation and configuration tools.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise ADCs, traffic management, security infrastructure, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, HTTP/2, SSL/TLS, DNS, and Unix/Linux systems.
- Familiarity with securing or optimizing AI workloads, LLM inference endpoints, or modern data services.
- BS/BA degree in a relevant technical field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent practical industry experience.
- Relevant certifications such as Kubernetes CKA, Cloud Solutions Architect certifications, or CISSP are preferred but not required.

- Annual base pay range is $148,500.00–$222,700.00, with potential incentive compensation, bonuses, restricted stock units, and benefits.
