Responsibilities
- Manage and operate Windows Server environments in AWS, including EC2, to maintain high availability and performance.
- Own patching, vulnerability management, security event handling, and system hardening across Windows workloads.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable application deployments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Develop PowerShell automation to reduce manual operational work.
- Design and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
- Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues with product engineering teams.
- Support releases and deployment processes across environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations and serve as an escalation point for production incidents.
- Lead or contribute to incident response and post-mortems, driving long-term reliability improvements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- Strong hands-on AWS production experience.
- Proven experience managing Windows Server infrastructure, preferably in AWS.
- Experience with patching, vulnerability remediation, and security event handling.
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform strongly preferred.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting production systems.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams and support production workloads.
- Experience with Active Directory integration in AWS is desirable.
- Familiarity with Sitecore CMS, .NET applications, and IIS in production is desirable.
- Experience with AWS Systems Manager for patching and automation is desirable.
- Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes is desirable.
- Experience with Datadog or OpenTelemetry-based observability is desirable.
- Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization is desirable.
