Responsibilities
- Own the application across requirements, solution design, development, testing, deployment, live support, and continual improvement.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support full-stack features, enhancements, defect fixes, APIs, integrations, workflows, and data services.
- Lead or contribute to feature shipping, release planning, deployment coordination, roadmap execution, and post-release validation.
- Manage support triage, prioritization, root-cause analysis, incident resolution, ticket management, and stakeholder communication.
- Define secure, maintainable, scalable, and high-performing architectures, REST APIs, service boundaries, data flows, and integration patterns.
- Develop and maintain Python/Flask backend services, PostgreSQL/PostGIS data layers, REST integrations, and Django-based web application features.
- Deploy and operate services on Microsoft Azure using Docker, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Bicep, and PowerShell.
- Support configuration, secrets, feature flags, storage, telemetry, monitoring, diagnostics, availability, and performance investigation.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack development experience with enterprise applications and the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong hands-on Python and Flask experience developing production APIs and backend services.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience covering schema design, migrations, query performance, troubleshooting, and data integrity.
- Strong experience designing and integrating REST APIs and external services.
- Experience with domain and database layers for operational workflows and delivering against a product or technology roadmap.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, Docker, Azure DevOps CI/CD, Linux, production troubleshooting, automated testing, release management, environment configuration, and operational support.
- Experience managing application delivery, releases, roadmap execution, live operations, support processes, triage, prioritization, incident resolution, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to work across architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, support, and roadmap planning.
- Preferred experience with React, TypeScript, Vite, TanStack Router, TanStack Query, Zustand, D3.js, Tailwind CSS, C#/.NET Azure Functions, spatial data, PostGIS, GIS visualization, NumPy, SciPy, Shapely, optimization algorithms, infrastructure as code, security scanning, API testing, integration testing, or end-to-end testing.
- Mining, industrial, or other operational domain experience is preferred, but aptitude, attitude, and willingness to learn are also valued.
