Principal, Industry Solution Engineer - Travel, Transport and Hospitality

Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions and workshops with enterprise Travel, Transport and Hospitality organizations to understand their challenges and goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers and build relationships with senior executives and technology decision-makers.
- Develop and deliver differentiated custom solutions, solution concepts, presentations, and business-value recommendations.
- Coordinate and lead the full solution cycle with internal technical and business resources, customers, and partners.
- Articulate Salesforce’s benefits and present Salesforce and partner solutions to stakeholders from frontline staff through C-level executives.
- Collaborate with Product and Partners to address regional priorities.
- Orchestrate sales cycles involving multiple internal and external resources.
- Participate in internal training and mentorship initiatives.
- Travel occasionally.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
- Proven experience developing and delivering differentiated custom solutions and technical presentations to decision-makers.
- Experience in solution engineering, consulting, delivery, or training for a software-solution organization.
- Broad understanding of cloud computing, sales force automation, service and support, marketing, and mobile solutions.
- Business-case and value-engineering experience.
- Knowledge of related applications, relational databases, and web technology.
- Deep expertise in the Travel, Transport and Hospitality industry.
- Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, interpersonal, relationship-building, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate customer needs into a compelling vision and roadmap and solve technical problems in varied environments.
- Exposure to Design Thinking, consulting methodologies, and enterprise architecture is an advantage.
- Inquisitive, practical, technology-passionate, and able to explain ideas compellingly.
