Base Salary
$165k - $233k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain shared CI/CD pipeline libraries for build, release, and deployment workflows.
- Develop internal tools, APIs, and CLI utilities that automate recurring engineering tasks and reduce developer friction.
- Make internal systems API-ready for AI coding agents by building harness tooling, context systems, and feedback loops.
- Instrument and monitor developer productivity systems, identify bottlenecks, and measure tooling impact through clear metrics.
- Partner with application development teams to identify needs, implement CI/CD best practices, and drive adoption of new tooling.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, support production incidents, and contribute to root cause analyses and postmortems.
- Participate in code reviews and author technical proposals for the Builder Tools team.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2–3 years focused on CI/CD, developer tooling, or build infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining complex CI/CD pipelines and build infrastructure, including pipeline-as-code, artifact management, and multi-environment deployments.
- Strong programming fundamentals in Go, Python, TypeScript, or similar, with a record of writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration such as Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of source control concepts and practical Git experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve issues efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with AI coding tools or agents such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code is preferred.
- Experience building API-ready interfaces or harness tooling for AI coding agents is preferred.
- Experience with developer experience or engineering productivity programs is preferred.
- Familiarity with GitOps principles and workflows is preferred.
- Experience with static analysis, automated pull request pipelines, or code review tooling is preferred.
- Background in fast-paced or scaling startup environments is preferred.
