Responsibilities
- Embed with client engineering and business teams to deploy, scale, and operationalize AI platforms in enterprise environments.
- Own production outcomes including time-to-value, reliability, adoption velocity, scalability, and associated business metrics.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into working production systems through rapid experimentation.
- Design and govern AI architectures covering identity, data, security, governance, platform layers, and workflow integration.
- Translate technical architecture into business impact for CTO, CFO, and CISO stakeholders and shape use-case roadmaps, ROI backlogs, and AI adoption strategy.
- Build reusable patterns, playbooks, and accelerators that clients can operate independently.
- Lead design workshops, proofs of concept, architecture walkthroughs, and code-with sessions.
- Codify deployment patterns and learnings to scale the Forward Deployed Engineering practice.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of engineering experience with cloud-native systems, including APIs, microservices, containerization, and serverless systems.
- At least 1 year of deep experience designing and deploying agentic solutions such as agents, orchestration, context engineering, RAG, and workflows in production.
- At least 3 years of experience with AI platforms including OpenAI, Claude, Vertex AI, and open-source models, including multi-provider pipeline abstraction layers.
- At least 10 years of experience deploying to production, using CI/CD and infrastructure as code such as Terraform and Helm, and performing monitoring and debugging.
- Demonstrated end-to-end deployment ownership in a client-embedded environment; internal-only projects and team-only deployments do not qualify.
- Ability to quantify deployment impact in business terms relevant to CFO-level stakeholders.
- Experience presenting to and building trust with senior client stakeholders at the CTO, CFO, or CISO level.
- Non-linear career profiles are welcomed, with assessment based on demonstrated deployment experience and outcome ownership.
