Base Salary
$120k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Determine user requirements with stakeholders and develop design documents and dependency plans.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code for maintainable, effective, and performant software.
- Partner with stakeholders to drive project plans, release plans, and work items.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, participate in on-call monitoring, and help restore systems during incidents.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, and operational consistency at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C++, C#, or Java, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check and applicable Microsoft, customer, or government security screening requirements.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of engineering experience, or master’s degree and 6+ years, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 5+ years of computer networking experience, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Preferred: 5+ years of datacenter infrastructure and server architecture experience, including CPU, memory, storage, and network interfaces.
- Preferred: 4+ years working with or developing software for distributed systems and scalable cloud environments.
- Preferred: 4+ years of hands-on software design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving experience.
Benefits
- Base pay is listed at USD $119,800–$234,700 per year across the U.S., with a separate USD $160,200–$261,000 range for specified San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan locations.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for at least five days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
