Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and operate services and capabilities for the Solventum-HIS AI Fabric.
  • Build scalable AI inferencing, agentic workflow, lifecycle management, and model-serving platform capabilities.
  • Develop frameworks and services for LLMs, SLMs, MCP, AI agents, tool integration, orchestration, and multimodal medical documentation and coding workflows.
  • Build APIs, SDKs, reusable services, and developer tooling that enable product teams to integrate AI safely.
  • Engineer scalable, highly available distributed systems using cloud-native architectures, containers, and microservices.
  • Implement model registry, agentic state management, observability, lineage, deployment, infrastructure automation, and operational readiness capabilities.
  • Apply security, privacy, data protection, reliability, and performance practices for regulated healthcare environments.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Sciences, Product, Architecture, and Security teams and participate in architecture, design, code review, and automated testing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related area, completed and verified before starting.
  • Five to ten years of computer science or software development experience, including building and operating production software.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
  • Experience developing products on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, observability, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and production on-call operations.
  • Experience building REST APIs, GraphQL, or gRPC services and using event-driven design.
  • Experience with generative AI, LLMs, SLMs, RAG, vector search, and model evaluation.
  • Experience with agentic AI frameworks and concepts such as Langraph, Langchain, tool calling, multi-agent systems, and workflow orchestration.
  • Healthcare technology experience is a plus.
  • Strong engineering discipline around automated testing, code coverage, code quality, security, privacy, reliability, performance, and code sustainability.
