Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, reactive frontend architectures for interactive data visualizations.
- Create algorithms for complex visualization problems such as dynamic axis labels, histogram bucketing, fast interactions, and dynamic graph layouts.
- Optimize browser rendering performance for high-load interfaces and large datasets.
- Develop visualization techniques from prototype through production.
- Build reusable visual components and maintain consistency through the Emotion design system.
- Advocate for visualization best practices and data literacy through knowledge sharing, blog posts, customer documentation, and training materials.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, engineers, and stakeholders on the visualization product roadmap.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and Angular.
- Comfort using AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code.
- Interest or experience building schemas, APIs, and component systems that AI agents can interact with.
- Experience optimizing complex, high-load user interfaces and writing unit and integration tests.
- Strong understanding of UX best practices and established design systems.
- Analytical ability with deep understanding of algorithms, profiling, and optimization.
- Strong collaboration skills with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Interest or knowledge of data visualization theory and best practices is preferred.
- Experience with D3.js, SVG, Vega-Lite, Observable Plot, or Highcharts is preferred.
- Several years of production Angular experience is preferred.
