Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize the central FastAPI and uvicorn-based AI Gateway MCP server.
- Build and maintain the Redis ElastiCache session layer with Entra identity binding, role-resolved tools, token lifecycle management, quotas, and distributed rate limiting.
- Implement on-demand connector provisioning with compute containers, VPC-internal networking, and AWS Secrets Manager credential retrieval.
- Develop MCP tool-set connectors for Oracle DB, SharePoint Graph API, Rally, ServiceNow, and approved vendor containers.
- Create automated unit, integration, load, and chaos testing for enterprise-scale connector workloads.
- Build observability with structured logging, Prometheus metrics, Kinesis Firehose, OpenSearch, and Grafana dashboards.
- Design CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, container builds, ECS task updates, and blue/green deployments.
- Implement security controls including Entra OIDC validation, PII masking, WAF rules, secrets autorotation, and secure API design.
- Maintain and extend the Snowflake MCP codebase, including session management, RBAC, configuration, masking, and secrets modules.
- Develop production troubleshooting tools, documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years of related experience, or an alternative combination such as a master’s degree with 2 years, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year, or 16 years of related experience.
- At least 4 years of Python development experience with advanced async/await patterns, FastAPI, multiprocessing, and production performance optimization.
- Hands-on Model Context Protocol implementation experience with MCP servers, tool definitions, and client integration patterns.
- Deep AWS experience with ECS Fargate, ElastiCache Redis, Secrets Manager, Route 53, ALB, ECR, Aurora PostgreSQL, SSM Parameter Store, CloudWatch, and Kinesis Firehose.
- Experience integrating Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD through OIDC federation, Graph API or JWT claims, and RBAC patterns.
- Database integration and optimization experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of distributed-systems patterns, Docker container platforms, REST API security, observability, Git, and GitHub Actions.
- Availability for rotational on-call duties outside standard business hours may be required.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise-scale concurrent MCP sessions, Snowflake optimization, Terraform, ephemeral infrastructure provisioning, advanced Redis patterns, compliance and audit logging, AI/LLM platforms, MCP clients, OWASP practices, and DevOps automation.
