Responsibilities
- Design, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud systems.
- Define strategies, roadmaps, and reference architectures for cloud workloads.
- Build and optimize automated deployment tools and DevOps pipelines.
- Develop and deploy production modules, upgrades, and fixes.
- Improve system capacity, reliability, availability, monitoring, and performance.
- Provide performance and reliability expertise and resolve complex production and design issues.
- Evaluate technologies and create flexible, documented code and DevOps tool interfaces.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, developers, testers, leadership, and implementation teams.
- Provide technical documentation and support iterative technology changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
- 5–8 years of DevOps engineering experience.
- 4–5 years of experience automating CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Argo, including blue/green and canary deployments.
- 2–3 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep and GitOps workflows.
- 2–3 years of experience with Helm and Kubernetes management tools including ArgoCD, EKS, or GKE.
- 2–3 years of experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid integration with on-premises systems.
- Experience with software engineering, object-oriented design, front-end development, technical documentation, troubleshooting, and consensus building.
- Familiarity with Maven and Ant for dependency management and build systems.
- Expertise with open-source software including Angular or React.
- Master’s degree and experience working in a lean agile scrum format are preferred.
