Responsibilities
- Design, build, manage, and implement enterprise infrastructure technology platforms across cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware domains.
- Develop control-plane components, event-driven automation, policy-as-code enforcement engines, self-service developer experiences, governance gates, and observability capabilities.
- Implement resilient, highly available architectures and infrastructure automation, monitoring, optimization, and performance improvements.
- Manage large infrastructure projects and programs aligned with organizational strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure performance and reliability issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to integrate technologies and improve infrastructure standards and processes.
- Ensure compliance with technology strategies, standards, governance requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Review infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures, and provide technical guidance, training, and direction to infrastructure teams and junior technical professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional infrastructure engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware technologies.
- Preferred experience in financial services and regulated environments governed by FFIEC, SOX, NIST 800-53, or PCI frameworks.
- Preferred proficiency with Python and FastAPI and/or Java for production microservices deployed on Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Preferred hands-on experience with Open Policy Agent, Rego, Apache Kafka, Confluent schema registry, event-driven architectures, distributed-system resilience patterns, and performance optimization.
- Preferred experience with GitLab pipelines, Backstage developer portals, HashiCorp Vault, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Splunk, Jaeger or Tempo, AWS or Azure, Terraform, Ansible, Cosign, and CycloneDX.
- Preferred experience with internal developer platforms, platform engineering initiatives, container security, and certifications such as CKA, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or HashiCorp Certified Vault Associate.
- Preferred experience engineering with AI coding agents or assistants such as GitLab Duo or GitHub Copilot.
