Responsibilities
- Apply infrastructure engineering knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope.
- Improve data and systems running at scale and ensure end-to-end application monitoring.
- Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for monitoring, capacity analysis, documentation, and remediation workflows.
- Drive daily activities supporting standard capacity process applications.
- Partner with application and infrastructure teams to identify capacity risks and govern remediation statuses.
- Assess upstream and downstream data, systems, and technical implications.
- Make significant technical decisions across projects involving multiple technologies and applications.
- Align infrastructure changes with resiliency, security, auditability, and data-sensitivity requirements.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Strong knowledge of at least one infrastructure discipline, including hardware, networking, databases, storage engineering, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment.
- Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation and escalate when uncertain.
- Strong Windows Administration experience, including Windows server administration.
- Working knowledge of scripting or coding skills using tools or languages such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Java, Python, or Scala.
- Experience with multiple cloud technologies and the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
- Preferred experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, SCCM, Windows Active Directory, Observability tools, SCIM tools, and AI tools.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn, along with interest in developing infrastructure engineering, data fluency, and automation knowledge.
