Responsibilities
- Implement, tune, operate, and test enterprise AI guardrails and policy content across assistants, coding agents, and internally built agents.
- Assess AI applications, agents, integrations, MCP servers, tool connectors, and third-party AI products for access, capabilities, and security risks.
- Build telemetry pipelines, analytics, dashboards, detections, and alerts for AI usage, agent activity, data exfiltration, anomalous behavior, and unsafe tool use.
- Integrate AI security tooling with cloud, endpoint, identity, data protection, ticketing, SIEM, and SOAR platforms.
- Automate deployment, testing, rollback, and version-controlled management of guardrail services and detection content.
- Support security operations and insider-threat investigations, track remediation, measure control effectiveness, and document findings.
- Collaborate with AI application teams and security, privacy, and platform engineering peers on standards, threat models, and reusable security patterns.
- At the Principal Engineer level, lead small workstreams, mentor less experienced engineers, and represent the team in cross-functional sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or an IT-related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, cloud engineering, or security operations.
- Authorization to work full-time in the United States without employer support or sponsorship for work authorization or visas.
- Preferred proficiency in Python, Bash or PowerShell, REST APIs, JSON, and SQL.
- Preferred experience with AWS or Azure and security domains including identity and access management, application security, data protection, and security monitoring.
- Preferred hands-on familiarity with LLM applications, coding assistants, agents, prompt injection, data leakage, and excessive permissions.
- Preferred experience with detection engineering, DLP, rule tuning, SIEM, EDR, proxy or gateway platforms, LLM APIs, agent frameworks, MCP, AI evaluation, or red-team tooling.
- Preferred familiarity with OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, infrastructure as code, containers, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, GitHub Actions, Athena, and dashboard development.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, AWS or Azure security, or GIAC, or participation in CTF or AI red-team exercises are preferred.
- Ability to analyze data, write clear findings, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and work with change control and audit requirements.
